Resources at Talbert House
Parkway Center provides transitional housing for homeless men and male veterans in Hamilton County by offering substance use treatment and case management to assist in finding permanent housing and employment. Referrals are coordinated through Central Access Point Intake system by calling (513) 381-SAFE (7233).
Engagement Center is a triage unit for individuals struggling with opiate addiction, including those who have experienced an opioid overdose or are at high risk to reuse due to withdrawal symptoms. The Engagement Center focuses on engagement with treatment services and discharge planning for successful long-term recovery. Engagement Center services are available by referral only, to adult residents of Hamilton County.
The Engagement Center is funded in part by Hamilton County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. Grants awarded by the Louis & Louise Nippert Charitable Foundation, the Jacob G. Schmidlapp Trusts, Fifth Third Bank and the Spaulding Foundation provide additional funding.
Talbert House Primary Care offers a full range of services for all patients to meet the needs of you and your family, from preventive to ongoing health care. Talbert House Primary Care is integrated with the agency's service lines to meet the needs of patients. Talbert House Primary Care accepts Medicaid, Medicare and several major insurance providers. Adult and Youth Case Management Services are provided to youth and adults with behavioral health issues including mental health and addiction. Services include symptom monitoring and assistance with benefit applications, housing, medication, budgeting, vocational and other specialty services.
281-CARE Crisis Hotline is a 24-hour telephone crisis intervention service for suicide prevention, psychological crises, marital and relationship conflicts, bereavement, loss and other personal emergencies.
Comprehensive Case Management Employment Program serves individuals 14-24 years old who are within 200% of the federal poverty level. Services include case management, referrals and barrier removal in order to move clients forward on an education or career pathway. Talbert House is the lead agency with collaborative partners: Greater Cincinnati Urban League, Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency and Easterseals.
